There is an upstairs that is maybe formal and affiliated but downstairs is pretty chill and bear/eagle vibes. They'll ask you to leave. It's known for its hands-in-the-air nights with music that you can't help but sing along to, outrageous drag queens and, of course, a welcoming atmosphere. My best friend was possibly planting to have a hen night in Manchester so we did a pub crawl around the area to see what it was like.
Thanks!
Great venue hosting wide range of gay men's groups in social bar upstairs and two clubrooms downstairs.
The space is raw and industrial, which adds to its unique charm.
No one should ever feel unsafe or unheard in an environment that’s meant to celebrate inclusion and respect.
As someone visiting Manchester for the first time, this left me shocked and deeply uncomfortable.Bars especially those that present themselves as safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community should take consent and safety seriously. Don't like, stretch or roll your neck or anything. They host a variety of events, from underground music nights to more mainstream parties.
Really enjoyed the variety.
The bar offers a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices, and the staff are always up for a chat.
Going back to Liverpool. Recommended.
It’s the kind of place where you pop in for one and end up staying all night. Comfy seats.
The Back Room offers cabaret and drag nights, and is available for booking if you want an incredible night all to yourself.

For women, there's not much for you. Went tonight to a quiet bar to be told by some camp queen behind the bar that it was members only.
